Virginia Doctoral Regalia

In the midst of end of the semester craziness, I ordered the gown late in the game. PhinisheD was able to ensure that it reached me before graduation. The gown is made well and has some weight to it. It looks and feels exactly like the official UVA regalia sans rotunda emblem. As I wore a stole, onlookers could not tell the difference. As I move into my tenure-track job, having this official regalia from my home institution that I wore on my graduation to hood others in the future means alot to me. Even more that it did not break the bank. That it comes in its own garment bag is an additional plus.

Phinished really helped me out to ensure that my gown made it to me in time. I originally ordered a medium, and it said 1-2 week estimated shipping. This is an estimate, and does not mean the item is in stock, which I didn't realize. After two weeks of no updates, I reached out, very stressed, and they switched my gown size to one in stock and it got from CA to VA in two days! They were so helpful, and the quality is excellent. I highly recommend.

Regalia arrived in a timely manner, well packaged, essentially wrinkle free. High quality material and a great fit.

Very impressed with the gown. I decided Mohave it expedited at the last minute to ensure that I had it in time, and I was very pleased with working with PhinisheD to get it to arrive when I needed it. Very comfortable and so much better than gowns that I have worn over the years.

I am extremely satisfied with Phinished Gown university of virginia Ph.D. regalia. I got to know about this company form a friend, at a time I was offended by the cost of the UVa bookstore regalia set($1080). I then ordered mine from Phinished Gown for less than half that price.
I had sizing issues but I had to order a premade one due to time constraints. email communications were very efficient (in the midnight!) and the set was shipped within like three hours of the order and it arrived on time with careful packaging.
The color (blue tone) is a little bit lighter than UVa official color and the tassel of the tam was not the exact color I wanted but a bit lighter tone of gold, but those are minor issues.
Gawn was a bit lightweight and the material was a little more breathable than UVa official gowan, which was good for a hot summer graduation. I observed several other graduates wearing Phinished Gown regalia.
I hope more and more UVa Graduates would learn about this company, so they can own pretty good looking regalia for 50% or less cost.

Looks good, feels good, and much more reasonably priced than the university bookstore. Speedy shipping. I would give it more stars but don't have experience with its durability yet.

I missed the deadline to rent through the UVA bookstore. I was able to order my gown and within a matter of days it arrived on my doorstep. It looks great, and I appreciate how fast they worked!

I am 6'4" but have longer than average arms 35"... Sent a letter inquiring color and fit, response was immediate. Decided to buy, git gown and tam, gown was perfect, nicely taylored and comfortable cloth. The tam was also very nice, but was 6-sided and the tassel was a nice approximation of gold. Unfortunately, I needed 8 sided and orange tassel. They immediately sent an RMA for priority post, so I could return it. Very quick, polite service. Will recommend to my colleagues, both high quality and relatively inexpensive.

I rented my gown for graduation because I didn't know about this company then (and the bookstore gowns were $1000!). But this year I ordered my gown and absolutely love the quality of it!!! I wish I had found this sooner. It's beautiful, high quality, and more than what I expected!

Ordered the University of Virginia PhD regalia. I first wanted to make sure the product was available and will arrive in time for the commencement so sent an email to the company. The reply came back within hours with a clear instructions for ordering it online. They custom made it and delivered it in 3 weeks. The regalia fits perfectly and am very happy with the entire process as well as the product. Thanks.
